PM Modi on Reform Express: India Moving to Faster, Simpler, People-Centric Governance

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said India has now entered a full-speed Reform Express phase, where major changes are happening quickly with a clear and citizen-focused approach.
He addressed these points during the NDA Parliamentary Party meeting in New Delhi.


Government Shifts to Citizen-Centric Reforms

PM Modi said the government’s reforms are designed for citizens first, not just for economic or bureaucratic gains.
He added that India must improve both:

  • Ease of Life for everyday citizens

  • Ease of Doing Business for companies and entrepreneurs

According to the Prime Minister, solving real problems on the ground will help reforms reach every family in the country.


PM Modi Asks MPs to Bring Real Issues to the Centre

The Prime Minister urged MPs to regularly share problems they see in their constituencies.
He said this will allow the government to remove:

  • daily barriers

  • slow processes

  • outdated rules

  • paperwork that wastes time

Modi emphasized that India must stop the old system of 30–40-page forms, repeated document submissions, and unnecessary verification steps.


Government Wants Doorstep Services for Citizens

PM Modi said India should move towards easy, doorstep delivery of services, so people do not need to visit offices again and again.

He reminded MPs that the government introduced self-certification 10 years ago, trusting people instead of forcing them into long documentation processes.
He noted that the system has worked successfully without major misuse.


NDA Leaders Felicitate the Prime Minister

At the meeting held at the GMC Balayogi Auditorium, senior NDA leaders honoured PM Modi.
The leaders present included:

PM Modi Raises Concern Over IndiGo Flight Chaos

Union Minister Kiren Rijiju shared that PM Modi is worried about the trouble caused to travellers after multiple IndiGo flight cancellations across major airports.

The Prime Minister clearly said that rules must not make life harder for people.
He added:

“Laws are important, but improving the system should not lead to citizens being harassed.”
